NASARAWA: Herdsmen Gun Down Pregnant Woman, Rape Others, Injure Scores

A tragic scene played out in the Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa State when heavily armed Fulani herdsmen stormed the area, killing a pregnant woman, raped some victims and injured others.

Reports say the herdsmen launched an attack on Tia farmers in the area in the early hours of Monday, shooting sporadically into the air to scare residents, as the pregnant woman identified as Mrs Dorcas Mbagbidi-Akaahan, 28, was unfortunately hit by a stray bullet.

According to a resident of the area identified as Obasanjo Akaahan, the casualty would have been more had the herdsmen attacked during the day
