 Akinwunmi Ambode Presents N500m Grants to CDAs

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has presented financial support of 500 million Naira Grant to 274 Community Development Associations to enable them complete their various self-help projects which had been executed to an appreciable level.
At the official presentation, the Governor said the grant will be a continuous exercise while Other deserving Community Development Associations will also be considered in the next phase.

The last time Governor Akinwunmi Ambode had an interaction of this magnitude with Community Development Associations was on December 7th 2017 during the community day.

At this event, the Governor is empowering 275 communities with a grant of 5 million naira to help them complete all self help projects.

This according to the Governor became necessary when monitoring of such projects revealed they could be abandoned due to paucity of funds.

The Governor adds that Government will continue to provide infrastructure across the state but tasks the CDAs on proper monitoring of Government facilities.

The Governor makes a passionate appeal for Lagosians to obtain their Permanent Voter cards ahead the 2019 elections

The large turn out of members of the CDAs and CDCs in the state again brings to fore the importance of the grants to some of their responsibilities which include to promote self help community effort and raise funds for implementation of community projects and activities.
