Ambode, who spoke recently at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LCCI Awards, promised that the State government will continue to initiate policies and strategies that will enhance business opportunities and enable local products to achieve parity in the international market.

Represented by the State’s Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Prince Rotimi Ogunleye at the Award ceremony, Ambode said that the State government was making progress in creating an enabling environment through policies, initiatives, institutional re-energizing as well as infrastructural renewal and development.

“I assure you once again that the business environment will continue to improve as the positive impact of some of our policies and strategies in the areas of transportation, power, road infrastructure, waste management and other sectors become manifest” the Governor reiterated.

He congratulated all the award recipients for the successes achieved in their various sectors, in spite of the challenges in the business environment, saying that the achievement was a testament to their resourcefulness and creativity.

The Governor used the occasion to call on the Organized Private Sector to continue to partner with the State government, stressing that his administration remains committed to finding solutions to the challenges confronting the business sector.

“We shall not rest on our oars as we know that we have so much ground to cover” he stated.
