American rappers Lil Durk & Kodak Black pay tribute to Mohbad

Kodak Black, an American Hip Hop star, has joined the ranks of celebrities who expressed their condolences for the passing of Mohbad, a Street Hop star who was well-known for his Afrobeats music. During a live Instagram chat, a fan noted that Kodak was Mohbad’s “neighborhood hero” until he passed away. “I just found out about Mohbad a few days ago,” Kodak said. Lil Durk also paid homage to Mohbad. The Chicago rapper posted a tribute to the late rapper on his Instagram story, captioning it “RIP Mohbad AKC Imole”. Lil Durk’s tribute to Mohbad may come as a shock to many Nigerians. The rapper is well-known in Nigeria, thanks to his hit single ‘All My Life’ featuring J Cole, which peaked at number one on Apple Music’s and Spotify’s Nigeria charts.
