The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria on Thursday congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his re-election in the 2019 presidential and National Assembly elections on February 23.
The workers also urged the President to implement the new National Minimum Wage immediately the Senate passed the bill
According to the ASCSN, the renewed pan-Nigerian mandate given to President Buhari and the All Progressives Congress was another trust bestowed on him and the party.
“Please further beef up the welfare packages of workers in your second tenure by implementing the new National Minimum Wage as soon as the Senate passes the bill since the House of Representatives has already done so,” the ASCSN said in a statement by its Secretary-General, Alade Lawal.
The senior civil servants also expressed the hope that Buhari and the APC would not disappoint Nigerians.
The statement partly read, “We also wish to state that your re-election is indeed a manifestation of the undiluted love Nigerians have for you and the manner in which you piloted the affairs of the country in the past four years.”
