BAMIGBETAN CALLS FOR ATTITUDINAL CHANGE AMONG STAFF

Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan has stressed the need for an attitudinal change in the workplace in order to serve people of the State better.

Bamigbetan, who spoke in Lagos at the opening of a retreat for Junior and Senior Staff of the Ministry, noted that the call became necessary in view of the changing world order which requires new ways of doing things to serve the citizenry.

He pointed out that an attitudinal change in the work environment would enable Civil Servants to efficiently and effectively serve the people better hence the aptness of the retreat theme: “Building Appropriate Workplace Attitude”.

The Commissioner noted that the need to further serve the citizenry better informed the State Government’s decision to revamp its website with a view to making it more interactive and people-friendly.

While commending the organisers for choosing such theme for the retreat in consonance with the change mindset campaign of the State Government, he expressed hope that the outcome would result in improved staff productivity and appropriate attitude to work.

He tasked participants to take advantage of the retreat, just as he asked facilitators to review attendees’ performance towards determining the level of knowledge gained.
