President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday commissioned the Ikeja Bus Terminal as part of the activities to mark his official two-day visit to Lagos.
The Terminal is one of our flagship transport infrastructure under the Lagos State Bus Reform Initiative by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode
The Ikeja Bus Terminal was developed by the State government as part of the infrastructure for the Lagos Bus Reforms Project.
President Muhammadu Buhari arrives Lagos into the waiting arms of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Service chiefs and other dignitaries.
He then inspects the guard of honour mounted by the Nigerian Army with 96 soldiers on parade.
Host Governor Akinwunmi Ambode thereafter leads the President to the just completed Ikeja Bus Terminal for the official inauguration.

He acknowledges the push for a reform in public transportation and the revamping railway system by the lagos state government.
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in his remarks explains the ikeja bus terminal is the pilot scheme under the Lagos Bus reform project. Others currently other construction include oshodi, Yaba, Ojota and Agege bus terminals. And by September this year Lagosians will start seeing the new high capacity buses for the scheme.
