Cameroon’s Biya Re-Elected As President For Seventh Term


Cameroon President Paul Biya re-elected with 71.2 per cent of the vote, an official said on Monday.
According to the Constitutional Council, Biya got the people’s mandate after defeating opposition candidate, Maurice Kamto in this month’s election.
Kamto came second with 14.2 percent, council president Clement Atangana said, announcing the official results of the October 7 ballot in a state television broadcast.
