DASUKI’S COURT CASE

The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed December 3 for hearing in an application filed by the Federal Government seeking court order to revoke the bail earlier granted former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki.
The court however dismissed another application filed by the Federal Government seeking to compel the presence of Dasuki in court throughout his trial.
Prosecution counsel Mohammed Diri had argued that Dasuki was wrong in law by staying away from court for three consecutive times the case against him came up in court.
But defence counsel, Joseph Daudu opposed the prosecution application insisting that his client has been under siege since his request to travel abroad was granted.
In a ruling Justice Adeniyi Ademola dismissed the application for being frivolous, unwarranted and lacking in merit.
