Leicester City £15m January signing Wilfred Ndidi made his debut for the team in their 2-1 win over Everton in the FA Cup.
Ndidi was handed his first start by Manager Claudio Ranieri, despite the fact that he had only trained with the squad twice following the confirmation of his transfer from Genk of Belgium.
Although his Nigerian compatriot at the club Ahmed Musa came off the bench to steal the headline, Ranieri was surprised by the performance of Ndidi after just two sessions.
Mailonline reporter who covered the match rated Ndidi 8, second best in Leicester City team, only behind compatriot Musa who bagged the 2 goals that gave City victory over Everton.
Coach Claude Ranieri was proud of his new buy when after the match. “Ndidi had just two training sessions with us but played with fantastic personality. He recovered a lot of balls and played well. For 20 years old to make his first game against Everton, it’s unbelievable.
“I’m very satisfied. We made a very good purchase. He has proven me right”, Ranieri said.
