Haaland wins PFA Player of the Year award

Erling Haaland has been named the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Player of the Year after an extraordinary debut season, helping Man City win a historic treble.
The Man City forward scored an incredible 52 goals in all competitions after a record-breaking debut season at the Etihad.
Haaland broke the Premier League single-season scoring record of 2022/23 with 36 goals in just 35 games, while his 44 goals are on par with the highest ever set by Thierry Henry.
It’s an honor to win this prestigious award,” the Norwegian said. “Being recognized by a competitor is a great feeling and I want to thank everyone who voted for me.
“It was an unforgettable season for the team and for me personally. Winning the treble was something I never imagined so achieving it with such a special group of players is an indescribable feeling.
“John, Rodri, Ruben and Kevin all deserve their place on Team of the Year and I am delighted that their efforts have also paid off with this recognition. “We had some great memories last season, but now we want to repeat the same thing this year. We have started the season well and we have to keep going.
