The Independent National Electoral Commission has commenced the process to review some aspect of the electoral act.
Acting Chairman of the commission,Amina Zakari disclosed this when a delegation made up of foreign military attache from the defence intelligence agency visited the INEC headquarters in Abuja.
She said the need to review the electoral act was informed by some lacuna noticed during the conduct of the 2015 general election which if amended will add value to the conduct of future elections in the country.
The INEC boss further disclosed that the commission has recommended to the 8th National Asembly some of the clauses to be reviewed.
Speaking with newsmen after a tour of INEC facilities,the leader of the delegation,Colonel Everest Okoro said the purpose of the visit is to expose the foreign attache to the workings of key government agencies.
