Injury rules Victor Osimhen Out For Four Weeks

It has been revealed that Nigerian Super Eagles attacker Victor Osimhen would be out of action for four weeks due to a medium-grade biceps femoris lesion in his right thigh.
He suffered the injury while playing for the Super Eagles against Saudi Arabia. On Monday, club doctors confirmed that an injury of this nature generally takes a player 4-6 weeks to fully heal.

This means that Osimhen will miss up to four Partnopei games, and his absence will be felt by under-pressure coach Rudi Garcia, since Osimhen has been in great form, scoring six goals in eight domestic league appearances, making him a crucial member in Garcia’s side.

Napoli’s next two games will be played away from the Diego Maradona Stadium, against Verona in the domestic league and Union Berlin in the UEFA Champions League matchday 3 duel. Osimhen’s likely absence could be a worry as Napoli attempts to cut the gap on AC Milan and Real Madrid in Group C of the Champions League.
