 LAGOS GOVT POSTPONES CLOSURE, TRAFFIC DIVERSION ON THIRD MAINLAND BRIDGE

The Lagos State Government has announced the postponement of the planned Two Sundays palliative works on the failed sections of the Third Mainland Bridge, which was scheduled for, Sunday, September 17, and Sunday, September 24, 2023. This is due to the heavy downpour experienced in all areas of the Metropolis on Saturday.

The Lagos State Public Works Corporation’s scheduled palliative work on the bridge’s asphalt surface was delayed by the rain, according to a statement released by the state government on Saturday and signed by Mr Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the commissioner for transportation in Lagos.

The Transport Commissioner advised motorists to continue using the route while taking safety precautions. promising that a later date for the palliative works that would depend on weather conditions will be promptly announced.
