LAGOS GOVT VISITS MOHBAD’S FAMILY, PROMISES TO SUPPORT CHILD’S UPBRINGING

Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, alias Mohbad, was a deceased Nigerian rapper. A team from the Lagos State administration, led by the deputy governor of the state, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, visited her to express their condolences. Dr. Hamzat promised the late rapper’s family and his 5-month-old baby Liam complete assistance from the Lagos State government during the visit in an effort to make the affairs of the family of the late musician easier.
According to a statement released by Jubril Gawat, Governor Sanwo-olu’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media on X (previously Twitter), the deputy governor also promised that the rapper’s family would receive justice and that those responsible for the circumstances leading to his death would be held accountable. The following is an excerpt from the statement: “The Deputy Governor reaffirmed to the family that justice will be served in this case and that the DSS will work with the police to conduct a thorough investigation.
The government will help the family, and Mohbad’s child will be adequately cared for, the deputy governor added. The Special Adviser on Tourism, Mr. Idris Aregbe, the Commissioner for Youth, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, and the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, all accompanied the deputy governor on the condolence visit.
