Lagos State Government Assures Residents Of Easy Access To Inheritance

The Lagos state government through the office of the administrator general and public trustee has assured residents of its readiness to manage properties of those who died without a will.
The administrator general of the agency Mariam Olaniyan emphasised this at a campaign programme organised for residents in ikeja local government.
When a person dies with out leaving a will, executing the estate can be complicated. To tackle such issues and most importantly sensitize residents on the right steps to take the office of the administrator general and public trustee in lagos state organised an awareness programme on administrating the estate of persons who died without writing a will.
The administrator general allayed the fears of residents on handing over their estates to the state government for proper execution.
The importance of choosing the right next of kin and proper estate planning was also emphasised.
For participants the sensitization programme is an eye opener. The death of a breadwinner shouldn’t launch his loved ones into misery, the office of the administrator general and public trustee is therefore assuring residents easy access to their inheritance.
