 Lagos State To Train Police Officers, Others on Sign Language

Training of Police Officers, Care givers and more PLWDs in Sign Language has commenced in Lagos .
Commissioner for Youths Sports and Social Development AGBOOLA DABIRI who flagged off the workshop disclosed that anew pamphlet to foster communications between PLWDS and other citizens will soon be released in Police Stations, Motor Parks, Hospitals and other Public Places.

Communication is Essential to all living Beings, Humans cannot do without Communication, several other means and modes of Communication are evolving on daily bases. In fulfilment of his promise in Achieving an All Inclusive Governance, the Sign Language Training Workshop tagged Towards an All inclusive Lagos was flagged off to bridge Communication gap BTW PLWDs and the entire citizenry.

Commissioner for Youths, Sports and Social Development AGBOOLA DABIRI said a committee will be set up to speed up the Actualisation of Leaflets that will boost communication btw PLWDs and the Citizens.

The Commissioner sheds more 9n the nature of the Training and Anticipated benefits.

Special Adviser on Social Development Joyce Onafowokan advised the younger generation must be adequately taken care of in this regard.
Commending the State govt initiative, Participants shared their experiences.

The Sign Language workshop is in Celebration of the Sign Language Day July 4, 2018.
