lasparkThe Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) has relocated from its former office at Plot Y, Mobolaji Johnson Avenue, Alausa, Ikeja, popularly known as ONWARD building to a new office complex at Victoria Court, Plot 2, Lateef Junaid Dosumu Street, Central Business District (CBD) Agidingbi,Ikeja.
Mrs. Abimbola Jijoho-Ogun, the General Manager of the Agency said the relocation of the Agency to a more convenient place is a step in the right direction, stressing that the move to the CBD, which is the heart of the state capital will enable the dedicated staff continue their successful transformation of the environmental landscape across the state.
According to her, the new location will allow the Agency to take advantage of the cost effective environment within the CBD to build the Agency into a leading provider of high-value environmental services through planting of trees, landscaping and beautification of open spaces and degraded area in the state.
“This new location will also facilitate more efficient and effective interaction with the Agency’s strategic partners and the larger populace”, she added.
It will be recalled that the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) was created as a dedicated agency with the statutory responsibility to ensure a sustainable greener, healthier and beautiful environment, through establishment of functional parks, an active tree planting programmes, proper maintenance and preservation of gardens, trees and other vegetation across the state.
