Queens college was established in 1927, but the school has been involved in controversies lately.The latest being the allegedly groundwater pollution which resulted in the death of five students.
The health minister paid a visit to the school on Thursday 23rd February to access the situation and assured that a committee will investigate issues surrounding the death of the students.
When LTV crew visited the school which was to resume from the midterm break this week, the principal was not accessible for comment on the issue,
However the state Commissioner of health, Dr. Jide Idris said the matter was brought to their knowledge late and the ministry has visited all those concerned to ascertain the cause of death of the students.
