Remo Stars Ladies To Debut In The NWFL

A new squad will be making its debut and getting a feel for the pitch when the 2023/2024 Nigeria Women’s Football League gets underway, according to BSNSports.com.ng.

After several failed attempts, the Remo Stars women will finally play in the league.

Early in the year, the African football governing body made having a female squad a must for teams who wished to compete in the inter-club tournament.

The previous two years have seen Remo Stars maintain a steady presence on the continent, participating in the 2022 Confederations Cup and the 2023 Champions League.

The Remo Stars Ladies have been officially announced as the new team competing in the Nigeria Women’s Football League this year by the league’s administrator.

Women’s football was introduced into the organisation by a major Nigerian club. According to the announcement, they will begin competing in the NWFL Premiership’s top level.
