Sallah: IG orders massive deployment of police operatives

The Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase has ordered massive deployment of police personnel to all Eid praying grounds and other worship centres,  including public places and recreation centres to ensure a hitch-free Eid-Kabir celebration nationwide.

He has also  mandated all Assistant Inspectors-General of Police and Command Commissioners of Police to ensure adequate security at key and vulnerable points before, during and after the celebration.

A statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Kolawole, on Wednesday in Abuja said the IG admonished Nigerians to always report any act of criminality to the police at all times “as the Nigeria Police are prepared to take prompt and decisive actions.”

Arase wished Muslims, a happy Eid- El- Kabir and assured that the police would provide robust security throughout the period of the festival.
