 SENATOR OLUREMI TINUBU HAS CHARGED WOMEN TO BE POLITICALLY ACTIVE

remi_tinubuFormer first lady of Lagos state, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has blamed the low level of women in elective positions for their complacency with political appointments.
She therefore challenged them to reverse the trend by supporting their folks whenever they indicate their willingness for elective positions.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu gave this challenge today while speaking at the 17th edition of Lagos Central Senatorial District Town Hall meeting organised by her office.
She said enough is enough of women begging or being satisfied with political appointments noting with their voting population, they can make a head way in political affairs in the country.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu said the empowerment of people from her constituency at the forum was to support government in power in alleviating the plight of the people due to the economic realities in the country.
The National Assembly member noted that all hands must be on deck in rendering necessary support to government at all levels to fast track revamping of the nations economy.
She advised beneficiaries of the empowerment programme to make judicious use of it.
On his part, the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu described the recent violence clash in Agiliti and Mile 12 area of the state as sad and enjoined residents of the state to see themselves as one.
He noted that Lagos is home to all but people must live and conduct their businesses in conformity with the laws of the land.
Earlier, the leader of the All Progressives Congress in the Lagos Central Senatorial District, Prince Tajudeen Olusi ‎commended Senator Oluremi Tinubu for sustaining the programme to add values to the lives of people constituency.
