Lawyers and opinion leaders have expressed divergent views on the fate of the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria , Honourable Justice Walter Nkanu Onnoghen who is yet to be confirmed as the CJN since November ,2016.
Constitutional provision allows a Judge to act in the capacity of a chief judge of the federation for three months before confirmation by the President.
Correspondent Kikelomo Oduyebo spoke with some lawyers about the implication of this development to the Nigeria’s judicial system as the expiration of the deadline draws closer.
