 Winners Emerge At Lagos Governor’s Quiz

The Lagos state government has assured residents in the state to continue to make education accessible and affordable. The deputy governor,Dr Idiat Adebule made this known at this year’s Lagos governor’s quiz competition will continue to grow bigger and better, our correspondent Olubukola Akin-Koleoso reports
The Lagos state schools governor’s quiz competition,the ninth in its series displayed a high level of intelligence from pupils in primary school,junior and secondary schools.

In her remarks,Lagos state deputy Governor,Dr Idiat Adebule commended the students for their resilience. She assured that the state will continue to make education more accessible to residents in the state

In the primary school category,araromi primary school and military nursery and primary school slogged it out in mathematics,English,basic science and current affairs questions. At the end of the rounds,military nursery and primary school,Somolu emerged winner of the primary school category with 20 points

idimu junior high school,Alimosho emerged winner,in the junior school category, winning community junior secondary school ,Debojo .In the senior schools category,Epe senior secondary school lost to ,Lagos state senior model college ,Badagry. In the newly introduced mathematics competition,Adetayo Adewale from Tomia Community Senior Secondary School,Alagbado emerged winner.
The Lagos governor’s quiz competition is a way of ensuring healthy rivalry among pupils in various schools.
The improved performance of students in Lagos state in external examinations is a result of the present administration’s drive towards qualitative education. The majority leader in the Lagos state House of Assembly ,representing Ikorodu Constituency 1,Honourable Sanai Agunbiade was of this opinion at the 3rd Rasak Solaja Alagago best brain competition for pupils in his constituency
The competition had 250 participants in the primary,junior and senior category. The pupils were encouraged to be focused and shun all forms of vices. Winners of the competition were awarded with cash prizes,school bags and certificates for their participation
